WhereThat?! Terms of Use
WhereThat?! is operated by DeadBeet LLC. These terms describe use of the WhereThat app and service. The privacy policy explains data handling. App Store use is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms, including the standard licensed application agreement, unless a different agreement is provided with your purchase.
What the app does
WhereThat helps you record, organize, find, and review belongings. Features can include rooms and places, photos, labels, documents, reminders, shared houses, and optional assistance from Dustwick. Availability can vary with device capabilities, permissions, connectivity, and your purchase entitlement. Website previews do not promise that every planned feature is available in a released version.
WhereThat is an organizational aid. It is not a monitored security system, emergency service, certified appraisal, or guarantee that a recorded item is still present or safe to use. Keep independent copies of important documents and follow manufacturer guidance for safety, maintenance, and expiry dates.
Your content and shared houses
You keep ownership of the content you add. You give DeadBeet permission to store, process, and show that content as needed to provide the features you use, including sharing with the people you invite. This permission does not authorize use of your private inventory in advertising.
Only upload information you have the right to use and share. Respect other people’s privacy. Shared-house members can see and change content according to their permissions. Invitation keys grant access; keep them private. Copies already downloaded or exported by another person cannot always be recalled by changing a sharing setting.
Use your own account and protect access to your devices. Do not upload unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, impersonate someone, bypass access controls, or disrupt the service.
Automated and catalogue information
Photo recognition, catalogue matches, estimated values, and Dustwick responses can be incomplete or wrong. Verify important titles, quantities, locations, prices, dates, and suggested actions before relying on them. A photograph of a case does not prove its contents are present. A stale record does not prove an item is unused.
Product images and catalogue records may belong to their respective owners and are supplied for reference. Following a source or purchase link takes you to a third-party service with its own terms. WhereThat does not guarantee that a linked product is the correct replacement or that a price remains current.
Pro and App Store subscriptions
The purchase screen describes the current product, price, billing period, and included access. Where offered, Pro access may also work in WhatDo when you use the same supported account. A shared entitlement does not automatically merge the two apps’ data.
Apple handles App Store payments and subscription billing. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until canceled under the App Store’s terms. You can manage or cancel Apple subscriptions and request eligible refunds through Apple. Deleting WhereThat, signing out, or deleting an account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Restore purchases using the store account that made the purchase.
Data removal and availability
You can remove local records and export backups. Signing out, leaving a shared house, and deleting an account are different actions. The planned account-deletion feature will apply to WhereThat and preserve WhatDo kitchens. It is not yet available. The flow and its effects on owned or joined houses are being finalized before launch. Please contact [email protected] for account questions during testing.
Sync, reminders, catalogue lookups, and cloud assistance depend on services and device settings that can be unavailable. Keep a backup of information you cannot replace. We may update the service, correct errors, or restrict access where necessary to address abuse or legal obligations. Paid rights and remedies remain subject to applicable law and App Store terms.
Software and your rights
The app’s software, design, and branding are owned by or licensed to DeadBeet. Your license to use the app is governed by the applicable App Store license. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights or legal remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We will identify the effective date when these terms are published and notify users of material changes where required. Questions can be sent to DeadBeet LLC at [email protected].
